You may notice a lot of photos in this blog.  While we would have loved to say this is because we shot for multiple hours the reality is that they just had a lot of emotion, playfulness, and had fun with the shoot.  How we classify this one is a bit harder.  It was not really an engagement session.  It came over described that way but was more of couples session that started with a baby reveal surprise.  We did a little of the man with his Texas jacked up pickup truck.  We shot on the beach.  We danced – well more they did the dancing.  So we will call this an engagement as it fits.

We started with a little onesie being hidden in the camera bag.  At the front of the shoot we then pulled it out and put it in her hands. Due to the surprise nature it was not buttoned up at the bottom.  The look on his face was kinda a ‘what is that’ confused look.  Joy quickly filled in as he realized what it meant that he was going to be a father.  Capturing this candidly made for a lot of photos just from how much emotion was expressed.

From there we took some photos along a ridge and at the beach. It is a bit odd to have a Colorado beach but this can happen at some mountain lakes.  Twin Lakes is one of those huge areas with a ton of beach front to the lakes.  There are so many places to shoot and so many different looks.  After the beach we did some dude and his jacked up pickup truck look.  It was a true Texas kind of truck – big. Now to what women will likely love the most was the change into the blue flowy dress.  This is when the dancing came into place. It added some drama to the flow.  We shot at a couple different areas to get the big mountain look.
