Twin Lakes Elopement | October
Elopement at Twin Lakes in ColoradoElopement Details:
Wedding terminology is getting a little more dynamic. We have been hearing of many people eloping . . . with 10-15 people. Our take is we are calling that a mini wedding. The implication of a mini wedding is you will need less time that a normal wedding day. When it comes to elopements the standard understanding is that is two people. The real use of the word is for those people that run away and get married without parental consent. I am not sure we have ever had parents in this day and age not be for the wedding. Overall this is essentially what we think it the contemporary use of the word elopement.
They got engaged in July in the Denver Botanic Gardens. Their self officiated ceremony was in October here at Twin Lakes. It was a gorgeous fall day in the mountains. There was this dusting of snow on the peaks above tree line. They wanted some privacy for the ceremony and so we found a good spot for it. There were tears, playful laughter, and them being them. After the ceremony we intermixed in some photos with the cake cutting and a playful champagne toast.
Here are the elopements and mini weddings on the blog. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Twin Lakes.
