Winter Mountain Wedding with Gorgeous Overlook and a GondolaWedding Day Details:
Brian and Kallie are the kind of couple who make marriage uniquely beautiful. It was everything from the first look expressions to how they enjoyed one another throughout the whole process. We appreciated their more adventurous side which was all for stepping down into the snow we packed down for them. It was sunny and felt around 50 in the sun and 35 in the shade.
The ceremony was simple but meaningful. We loved the humming of here comes the bride from one of the parents as Kallie came down the ‘aisle’. After the ceremony we all went over to Keystone. Everyone made it up though some were slightly apprehensive of being in the gondolas. It is a small world – unknown till the wedding we had 5 mutual friends with Brian and a couple at the wedding knew of us through some mutual friends.
Sapphire Point Overlook Review:
Absolutely gorgeous overlook in the summer or the winter. It costs $120 total to reserve the spot. It is ideal for small weddings under 35 people with a smaller budget. The overlook has Breckenridge in the background and is not too far outside of Dillon, Breck, or Keystone. The parking is just off the road on the pass. There is a mountain style bathroom and the trail is a short walk.
The overlook has a flat circle spot outlined by a brick wall. There is a second level where you could have people stand by the signs about the trail. If someone needs to sit they could easily do it on the rock wall. In the winter the snow was well packed though it could get a little icy in spots. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other weddings we have done at the Sapphire Point Overlook as well as shoots at Sapphire Point. Here is the work on the blog at the Alpenglow Stube at Keystone.
Keystone Resort Alpenglow Stube Review:
https://joeandrobin.com/tag/alpenglow-stube/ Elegant, rustic, unique, and absolutely beautiful reception space. In the winter there are people skiing and boarding down the slopes. In the summer it would be a gorgeous place to have an outdoor wedding either on the mountain top deck or on one of the runs. You start down at the River Run base and take the gondola up to the top then go straight back to the next gondola that takes you back further into the mountains. It’s about a 30 minute ride with awesome views!
TheAlpenglow Stube has the mountain wood log home feel with a fancy feel to it. Bathrooms are stocked with Hershey kisses and even razors for the guys. It’s the kind of place where you can get your coat checked at the door. The fireplace is beautiful and would work well for a party. The food is delicious and more of an elegant slope-side kind of menu.
