Red Rocks Park | Morrison | Spring
Welcome To Colorado In The SpringEngagement Session Details:
Chris and Leah stopped into Colorado on their way to California from Nepal. Little did they know they would come during the time of a spring winter storm that would circle around the front range mountains. We made it out to around Idaho Springs and went up to Echo Lake. Shooting in falling show is rarely ideal based on snowflakes getting between you and the couple.
Depending on the distance you end up with blurred white dots on the couple and a lower percentage of tack sharp images. Part of the reason is its hard to use autofocus and with a couple laughing, moving, and snow falling its easy to miss that narrow window of sharpness. For some of our lenses the window we need to hit is the distance from the cheek to the nose. It was fun nonetheless and made for good memories.
Red Rocks was a more realistic location. It is a rather popular spot out in Colorado with the large red rocks and the amphitheater with concerts. The day we went there were the Disco Biscuits playing. We didn’t stay long but made our way downtown, got some Starbucks to refuel, and then got some Downtown Denver night photography. Chris and Leah are one of those couples that are quite natural, laugh a lot, and look good in each others arms. We love how they didn’t plan on snow but were all for getting out and having some fun in it.
