Propose While Snowmobiling in ColoradoProposal Details:
The only thing better than snowmobiling to a gorgeous Colorado overlook is getting proposed to at the top. Matt and Erin were out from SoCal for a ski trip. Earlier in the day when the topic of marriage came up the response was ‘Maybe’. After 5 years of being together clearly there is some commitment there but when you have this elaborate plan in place for the proposal that day what are you to say? Maybe is the only thing a guy can say to skirt the topic while not giving it away and no dashing hopes.
They left the day on the slopes and took a shuttle over to White Mountain Snowmobile tours. We have done other snowmobiling proposal scenarios and we must say this was a full on production in comparison to some of the other places. There were 50 snowmobiles out there not counting the tour guides. While this may not sound private it in actuality was fairly private as you break off in groups and can stop up at the top. We were about 12,500 feet up and have an overlook of some 14ers in the distance as well as some nearby mountains. It is a gorgeous area and awesome view.
When we got to the top we took some photos at which point he got down on one knee while she straddled a snowmobile. Her face lit up and the hand quickly went to the mouth. All are good signs of it being a YES and she jumps on you and kisses you. Later we heard that she was actually up there thinking this would be a really good place for him to propose. How could we not agree with her thought – the view is stellar for a winter proposal location in Colorado.
We took some additional group photos up there before continuing the tour. As we were taking some ring solo photos the ‘shuttle’ pulled up. While it was still white it was now a Limo. Champagne was in hand pretty much as soon as the door opened. That night then carried on at Ski Tip Lodge in Keystone for some after proposal celebrations!
