Winter Mountain Proposal in ColoradoProposal Details:
I Love it [The Ring]- I Love You! Reece and Lesley were on vacation from Chicago to do some skiing and snowboarding in Colorado. They were staying at a family members place in Keystone. The morning of the proposal they were supposed to go to brunch in Breckenridge then go hit the slopes. She called his bluff on the place and he came up with the name of a one star breakfast place that certainly wouldn’t be the kind of place that takes reservations.
When they made their way across Swan Mountain road they pulled off at Sapphire Point. We love the mornings there as the mountains are almost always beautiful, there are less people around, and well the lighting it really good. We had planted a bottle of champagne and wine glasses over at the Overlook. One of the perks about the warmer weather was that the top layer of snow had crusted over. This also made things icy but nonetheless let us venture out a little bit more. The trail into the bowl we had made a few weeks prior was still there which let us get down there without post-holing.
We love shooting proposal photos and hiding in a bush to capture the moment. What we love even more is when a guy pays as much as attention as Reece did to the many little details. The end result of things was that while we think she saw it as a possibility due to having gotten her nails done we think she was still surprised. They both looked great and kinda like that cute married couple that matches clothing (their own words).
You can get proposal ideas for Breck from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page.If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Sapphire Point Overlook.
