Proposal with Your Family and a Drone in ColoradoProposal Details:

The day started in Texas with an early flight out to Denver for Ryan and Maddie.  They were with the family so everyone got settled in before heading out to check out the Sapphire Point area.  There was a drone being unpacked in the parking lot which made us think something was going to be recorded for this proposal.  There was also a wedding officiant in the parking lot area going through his notes.  While our mind first went to thinking there was a wedding ceremony at the spot up against sunset we then went through more playful thoughts of him being there for them.  Think of it as the shortest engagement ever where you get the ring and married in an hour.  You have the family there, the guy, the officiant, the photographer, a venue, and even a drone video.  What else do you really need?  Oh a dress – well . . . On that note we will give you a pass I guess as you may not want to get married in black jeans with stylish holes in the knees.   One additional note is if anyone ever wants to get married right after getting engaged know you can self officiate in Colorado and really it is just needing to go pick up some paper.

Well thankfully there was no impact from a bride coming down in a dress.  It is one of those things that could happen at any point and while the spot can be ‘reserved’ it does not reserve anything.  In this case they arrived a little early and the bride was a little late for a small elopement level ceremony.  If it did go down where people were to try to block things off we have a couple backup plans we can go with that work well.

The proposal was rather smooth.  Family was off to the side and he started to do a spin dance with her and on one of the turns she came around to find him down on one knee.  He was rather awesome in his awareness and focus on enabling the photos as he moved over a bit to not block her reaction from the camera.  We always love firsts and that level of awareness was certainly one of them.  In the end it enabled us to get unhindered views of her awesome boots!  We love cute boots and well that is not likely what your seeing cause her reaction was priceless and surprise was even better!
