Proposal | Sapphire Point Overlook Trail
Surprise Proposal at Plan B Location: Sapphire PointProposal Details:
We would love to say that every proposal works out 100% as planned from the photography end. For Chris and Madalaine they were staying in Frisco around the New Years time. The original thought he had was to do something up on Boreas Pass. In the winter however it is closed due to snow so even if you could get up it easily a storm could make it impassible. We had been talking with Chris on locations and the preferred spot was to do a romantic high alpine brunch 2 Gondola rides back at Keystone. When we got in the area for some shoots that day we noticed that the wind was rather intense. Compared to the 96MPH wind gusts in part of Colorado the day before closer to the front range this was a light breeze but experience says it will mess with the Gondolas. So in that sense Sapphire Point was the Plan B but it still was a place we had originally been talking about for the proposal. As you can see from the photos there are a couple take aways. One is by the tears flowing down some cheeks and the playful joy shared this next step forward in the relationship is what mattered the most. The other thing is that for being the secondary backup spot it looked rather awesome. We think it really helped that on this crazy windy day she was wearing that really cute white hat. The jacket was a perfect choice as it made things pop and looked really good in the photos. The joy of the shoot was infectious. We love our job cause of getting to do these kind of shoots!
You can see more proposals under our proposal listings and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Sapphire Point Overlook. One thing to note is that with this shoot as things were a bit last minute in switching up the location and sending the new plan the angles were reversed so ideally we would want her in his position and him in hers. The idea is so we can get all the tears flowing.
