Proposal | Sapphire Point Overlook | Dillon, CO
Scenic Winter Proposal Location in ColoradoProposal Details:
What better way to end a weekend in Colorado than with a proposal? Alex was looking for a location around Breckenridge to propose. In the winter it can be hard to find a location with a good view that doesn’t require skis, a snowboard, or snowshoes. Sapphire Point is one of those locations that can work year round. Peering through the trees you could tell Alex and Liz were a cute couple as they walked down to the Overlook.
\Liz looked to be taking a panoramic shot on her iPhone. They then proceeded to take 3 selfie photos. You know it is going to be a good shoot when she shows up taking photos on her phone and takes her hat off for a photo and fixes her hair. Her response was a expletive that just made me laugh cause you could tell it was out of excitement! She knew something was up because a parent was being odd and saying look nice, its going to be a big day, and well anything else to tip off a woman who has been dating a guy 4.5 years that something is up.
The basic rule of thumb is you cannot tell people who don’t have a good poker face. Regardless to knowing something was up and seeing me through the many selfies Liz still was in tears of joy! That is – a couple times. We had a bottle of champagne buried in the snow (a little too well) along with some champagne glasses. No chipmunks or birds were hurt in the shooting of the cork though a bird did dive bomb us shortly after the champagne was popped open. It was cold. The kind of cold were my hands couldn’t feel the camera buttons a few times. Regardless of the cooler weather they laughed and played in the snow as we took some photos afterward.
You can get proposal location ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Sapphire Point Overlook.
