Proposal | Sapphire Point Overlook
Colorado Winter Mountain ProposalProposal Details:
“Oh my gosh – look at this” is the kind of thing you want to hear about the location your about to propose at in the mountains. Dominique and Alexzandra were out from the Denver area and Sapphire Point was a stop along the way. If we remember things correctly we believe this was them going on a hike with dinner plans later. As she soaked in the view of Lake Dillon and wondered how frozen over it was he began to hug her from the side. We are not sure what he was saying but it seems like it was a question as her response was “Why Dom . . . Yes . . YES . . Why”.
Since we are writing this blog and do not know what he specifically asked we will take the liberty of guessing. Logic would say he was asking a question about if she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. We think that because afterward he reached for a ring and proposed and in between those statements were little kisses. Now he could have also been asking if you think our dog is cute or if he could snowboard off the summit of the 12-13k mountains they were looking at in the background. When he got down on one knee she said ‘Dom, no way, no’. Translation for guys reading this she really means I didn’t see this coming but yes, oh yes! When he asked ‘Will you marry Me?’ her response was an about to scream ‘are you serious YES . . Oh my’. For anyone wanting to check the scripting out of what was said at the bottom you can see a hidden video of the proposal.
We love photography because of couples like them. As you will see below there is this natural romantic beautiful candid feel of emotional gitty overload of happiness shared between them. They just fit in each others arms and well look really good together. While we would love to take credit for amazing posing we really try to go for a less posed kind of style where we only give as much direction as needed. The purpose is to be able to let the emotion just flow out and get the real you in photography. It is a bit of an art to know how to balance direction with letting things just happen. We have done a lot of shoots at Sapphire Point but this one is likely one of the top favorite ones as we cannot help but smile with this feeling reliving the moments they shared.
You can get proposal location ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page.If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Sapphire Point Overlook.
