Proposal Mesa Overlook | Colorado Springs
Proposal at the Mesa Overlook near Garden of the Gods
Proposal Details:
This was a first time for us using this Mesa Overlook spot for a proposal. It is a small pull off on the road that can fluctuate with who is there at a given time. All that to say it worked well but the thing to keep in mind is that the situation can quickly change. When we pulled in there were no cars and then a bunch of cars came, left, then later some couples came for photoshoots of various types. We think it is one of those spots people use so while we like it we would not call it secluded. It is near the Garden of the Gods which is really cool but certainly not secluded so it has a similar feel to that spot. All to say I think we can find you a good option to meet your vision.
In this season we have noticed guys have been getting more firm in their schedule for a proposal. This makes it a bit more challenging to work around any weather. In this case we had planned for a secluded spot inside the mountains but there was a little bit of snow in places. This led to the guy trying to change things up to a private resort. While this certainly could work if you are a guest there it otherwise would not be allowed. Knowing there could be some complications on a weekend such as a wedding we got there early to confirm it would not work. This led us to this alternate spot.
If you think this style might be the norm while this might be how others do things it is essentially the opposite of how we do proposal. We are rather preplanned in detail thinking things out. So while that is our ideal we also seek to balance this with what you want to do. Provided we have not left for the shoot and are available we can generally accommodate.
We have over 75 spots planned out across Colorado. What we would recommend will vary by season, style, and your plans. This is one reason why we think the majority of the content you see online about places to propose is fluffy. It’s information but not giving you the true understanding of what it would be like to use. As we love to help guys out you can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page.
