This proposal was a rare surprise fly into the location trip.  We love these kinds of engagements as they have huge amounts of emotion.  It was customary that her dad would say ‘lets go here’.  This time he said lets go to Aspen a month in advance.  Ironically this tipped her off to something being up.  Now her Aunt was also on the trip.  She is a psychologist who took this and twisted it all to create extreme doubt.  This is all the while he is sleeping in the adjoining room next-door.

The perk about this proposal style is you can easily position the guy.  The downside is that you have to get her there.  It is certainly very hard with all the reservations and timed entry to the Maroon Bells. In this case they went the wrong way causing a delay.  This caused the sun to functionally set.  In Colorado the sun will always set before the posted sunset due to the mountains.  So this changed the look to be a little more flat crossing into the dusk timeframe.
