Romantic Dining on the Mountain with a Proposal
We love to see firsts. This one was Amy being mid-air while Neil proposed. We kinda remember it more like she just started to elevate off the ground and that is kinda how it looked from the photos. We think it was more that she just started to jump up and down about 5 times as he got down on one knee. When we first started to talk with him about the proposal there were a lot of ideas floating around. We ended up going with the Alpenglow Stube. It was the night before and they called to say that there was a wedding that was going to be using the space so he needed to move things up. We were able to accommodate but it was certainly less ideal for the venue. It was the weekend so we think that the day of the week was one factor. As it was the weekend this also made parking be more of an issue. We had to park in the North lot. They got the direct route bus whereas we had the scenic bus tour it seemed. Though they got there later they arrived earlier. This was another first to literally be walking behind the couple as they made their way to the Gondola. This first was not my ideal one but they still needed to check in and get the pass to ride the gondolas so we were going to get ahead as it was a quick jump on with a ski pass. From there we made our way up a couple gondolas to the Outback section of Keystone. By the jumping up and down it was easy to see it was a YES. Another factor of the weekend was that it made for more people on the slopes. Comically after the proposal one guy on a snowboard road through and gave him a high five.
You can see more proposals here and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at the Alpenglow Stube. If you are wanting to use this spot note that the plan we provide has her on the other side of him with her turned a little more toward the camera. The thought behind that is that it allows for more mountains behind her as she moves side to side.
