He Called Me a Billy Goat . . Then ProposedProposal Details:

Proposing on vacation in Colorado is a great idea.  Figuring out the place and time is a little bit harder.  We could tell Jayme wanted to get it perfect for Kaitlyn as we exchanged 52 emails.  They were in the Denver area for an Avalanche game downtown Denver in the Stadium.  The day before the proposal they went to an Avs practice so you might guess there is some passion there. When they got to the Lost Gulch Overlook you could tell she was enjoying the view as they had a mini photoshoot on the rocks before the proposal.  It was the kind of things with arms up, standing, sitting on the rocks, and I guess doing a billy goat pose hopping over all the boulders.

The initial reaction to the getting down on one knee was a ‘what is happening’ look.  Once the ring came out the realization hit along with an elated excitement.  As we were hidden the pointing out of the photographer is always a reaction to get.  To spice up the engagement they set down their Canon Rebel DSLR camera on a bench.  When moving from one area to another we forgot to pick it back up.  It had only been about 15 minutes but someone had picked it up.  After the shoot we realized it was left and upon checking all around it seems the people who found it drove off with it and nearly backed into us in the parking lot.

At this point I feel like the paying a little extra for a business car with a sport suspension is a justified business expense.  Even though about 10 minutes had past I just happened to catch up with a minivan.  Pulling up alongside them conveniently their window was down and the camera was around the passengers neck. Asking if they had found a Canon camera joyously we acted as if if where one of our kids cameras.  Proposal disaster diverted and camera returned.

Chasing down thieves is not a standard service but hey we love seeing our couples happy!
