Proposal | Lost Gulch Overlook Trail | Summer
Boulder Area Mountain ProposalProposal Details:
We put a lot of intentionality into the spot and the angle for a mountain proposal. For Jordan he got both perfect with the proposal to Kristina. This allows us to be pull back across the road on a 300mm lens and get the reaction. There was hair blowing for sure with the winds but that is fairly normal for Colorado. It looked like an easy YES from our vantage point. We took some additional photos afterward. She tried to get some serious looking photos in but it is nearly impossible after getting engaged to keep your composure when you are overflowing with joy. Probably my favorite part of the shoot was getting to play with some lighting from the other ridge over. It makes them pop in the images and allows for a more unique look certainly on a hazy day. There are a lot of fires at the time of writing and though they are far away it can lower the air quality and make things look more cloudy. A lot of it had cleared out but it was still harder to have as clear of a view as normal.
You can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Lost Gulch Overlook on Flagstaff Mountain. One thing to note is this is what we call the ‘alternate spot’ down a side trail.
