Proposal | Lost Gulch Overlook | Spring | Colorado
Book of Photos at Proposal with Hidden PhotographerProposal Details:
You have a story to tell about when he engaged. For Tim and Ashley their story has bit more to it than some others with the getting lost prior to arriving at Lost Gulch Overlook. They had just flown into Denver from (we believe) the Boston area for a Colorado trip. They went to Boulder and spent some time in the Pearl Street area and did some lunch. It took them 83 minutes to find their way to the location. Find my Friends location sharing failed but made it seem like they were flying around the Boulder area in a helicopter.
Which if that were the case the directions would haven’t helped much with the tree cover. They would have also needed to repel from the helicopter which certainly would have been adventurous. They took a detour at the Flagstaff Summit area which has some picnic spots and the Sunrise Amphitheater. Google maps bailed them out and they made their way up to the proposal spot overlooking the mountain valley. He had create a photo book with pictures of them and had mailed it to us.
We then planted it in a basket with champagne and glasses. It didn’t take her long at all to see what was going down though she was completely surprised and didn’t see the clues of the proposal. Her YES was accompanied but jumping up on him and wrapping her legs around him. Emotion continued to flow as he went through the book in the basket. Eventually the photographer was pointed out which showed even more emotion. We took some photos afterward along the rocky terrain.
You can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Lost Gulch Overlook on Flagstaff Mountain.
