Proposal | Lost Gulch Overlook | Spring | Boulder, CO
Road Trip Mountain ProposalProposal Details:
The vacation road trip began in Arkansas, stopped in Denver for a few days, before to Moab, UT and the Grand Canyon in AZ. Cory and Brandee will have around 55 hours in the car together if our calculations are right. The last 30+ hours will be likely even more focused on talking about getting married, life together, and the next steps in the adventure. They came to Denver in what we could joke was monsoon season. It really is sunny here quite a lot!
They started things off with a whitewater rafting trip and thankfully that wasn’t when Cory proposed. It was cold, wet, and extra wet from the rainy feel. They did some hiking to test their endurance at over a mile high in elevation. Thankfully, things could be a little flexible as the morning after originally planned showed more favorable weather. They were going to go to a really nice breakfast place later that morning which allowed for more focused attention to the clothing choice, hair, makeup, etc.
The proposal was a surprise but definitely something she instinctively knew the answer to his question. You can tell with certain couples there is that level of comfort and clear vision of the rest of their lives together. She was gitty as could be and super excited. One thing we love about proposals are seeing all the questions that follow with the mental processing of what just happened. There were questions like, ‘did you ask my dad’, ‘who knew’, ‘Is that why you . . .’ and about 15 minutes after the proposal ‘we’re getting married!’ We took some photos out on the rocks and in the woods up on Lost Gulch Overlook after the proposal before they were off to Moab to play in some canyons.
You can see more proposals under our proposal listings and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Lost Gulch Overlook on Flagstaff Mountain.
