Proposal Lost Gulch Overlook | August
A Different Spot at Lost Gulch Overlook in the Rain
Proposal Details:
Rain during a proposal has been rather rare. For Jordan and Lexi they had a full mix of weather at Lost Gulch Overlook. The chance of rain was low but their schedule was also fairly firm. Just after he got out the car a thunderstorm grazed the spot adding some rainfall. From a gear standpoint when you are using a pro level setup it can take the precipitation. There however is nothing you can do about the rain coming between the couple and the camera.
We had to use another alternative spot than previously planned due to some trail construction. We think when they finish the spot we were using would still work but just look more groomed. It it is hard to tell but we are considering some other options for proposals there if you love the general location. Currently I am thinking it will be winter by the time things will be finished up and cleaned up for ideal usage for proposals. If the spot in the above photo was not so busy I would love to get the proposal moment shot there on the rocks.
Even with the rain and the change of the spot she was floored. It was a welcomed surprise. The look on her face said it all. We were closer than we would count ideal but were able to read the situation and stay back further so we could get the candid moments. After the proposal the sun came out and we were able to get a variety of photos around the Overlook area.
You can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Lost Gulch Overlook on Flagstaff Mountain. The more recent spot pictured is different than this one so we have intentionally left it out of that grouping so as to not confuse others.
