Keystone Colorado Proposal While SnowboardingProposal Details:

The surprise of a proposal can produce a priceless reaction.  For Zach and Alyssa they were snowboarding in Keystone on vacation.  The perk of doing it while doing some snowboarding is you get an awesome view and catch her off guard.  We are now thinking of trying to propose while actively snowboarding and how that would not work strapped into a snowboard.  Her yes to get closer to you would be her hopping or doing the front to tail bounce to get closer.  So as the story goes they had just come from lunch and took the Outpost Gondola back to hit the backside.  They left their boards on the racks and went around to check out the view.  From there it was a getting down on one knee with no ring out.  That was enough to get the emotion going.  Then came the getting the very securely planted ring from the side pocket and showing it to her.  The unique / classic was her holding the ring out to see it perhaps glisten in the sun?  From there we took some more photos as the clouds rolled in for a snowstorm that was going to soon hit.

As for the location it is 2 Gondola rides back and you do not need to necessarily go back there only for skiing or snowboarding.  There is a nice restaurant up there that would work for a proposal at brunch / lunch.  We love the idea of that as it allows you to get up to the high alpine views of the mountains with less people around at a unique and romantic spot that is not too known.
