Proposal | High Point Overlook | Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs Mountain Proposal at SunsetProposal Details:
We love a good sunset in Colorado. Greg and Breanna were in town for some scoping out of the front range area. When you have the beauty of the Colorado mountains before you what also makes sense is proposing with them surrounding you. The ideal spot was one that made sense to go to, was not urban, and yet had the nature flare to it. A good middle ground in Colorado Springs is around the Garden of the Gods where you have the unique red rocks but as well the rolling hills of the front range behind you. On this given day there was a bit of a haze in the air due to some foolish hikers who started a fire in Breckenridge. You could still see a little of Pikes Peak in the background but overall there was more of a washed out look that there normally would have been. When they got to the spot they went over the the sign which describes the area you see in the overlook. They then casually walked up on to the rock where things went down. It is one of those spots that is fairly normal to go up on but yet is not continually covered with people. As they got up on the rock she took a panoramic picture with her phone. It seemed like she did a 270 degree angle photo with how far she turned around with the photo. It is that good of a view. There are some homes in the valley buried in some trees but otherwise just you in the mountains. Surprise! Did not see that one coming. Tears? Enough to wipe the eyes many times. Happy? Elated with joy and this firm assurance in knowing exactly what she would answer to the question. So without further delay with words before pictures. She said YES! Wedding planning time begins.
