Mushroom Hunting ProposalProposal Details:
Ever wake up and have one of those days where you think your going to get a mushroom and you get a diamond? For Sean he knows that Shana can say she has had one of those days. [Bucket List Item 3 and 143 almost accomplished in the same day?] As you might guess from the title this is not a story of how they found a diamond in a mushroom as if it were like a pearl in a clam. Even though they were in Boulder and it could fit, this is not about some hallucinogenic shrooms. They were on a hunt for some Morels which based on some research of a non scientific poll at Colorado Mushrooms 35% of people currently prefer to eat. If you did not know this was a thing you need to get in touch with one of the 291 people who love those kind of mushrooms. Perhaps it is that before this shoot I didn’t know mushroom hunting was a thing but it is likely just intriguing. Engagement . . . The Proposal. Tall red boots and a cool hat to match them are the proper attire to do get some mushrooms for dinner. If you searched for what to wear when searching for mushrooms in Colorado know that we have lots of examples below. We are new to the mushroom thing so this is all we know about what to wear to get dinner from the woods. On the way to find some gourmet shrooms they ventured up flagstaff mountain into Boulder Mountain Parks. They made their way to the Lost Gulch Overlook and passed by this bench. Ironically, mostly hidden under a blanket was a bottle of champagne playfully jested as something they would use as refreshments. I guess the take away is mushroom hunting requires proper nourishment? Little did she know that this was actually not at all about finding dinner. It was about this ring that has been needing to get on her finger.
The initial reaction was this complete surprise that produced instinctive responses of YES and getting the ring on. Once the ring hit the finger she started to light up. 5 minutes in things really started to sink in more while they opened the champagne. Emotion kept flowing out as the photographer lurking in the woods was pointed out. Overall, one thing not lacking to any degree was emotion. 15 minutes after getting the ring some tears began to flow. This was spattered in the middle of some playfulness and this sweet rich love shared between them. The only thing lacking from the shoot was Penny. She was originally invited to the proposal but unfortunately could not make it due to a procedure. Since she could not make it to the proposal maybe she can have the role in the wedding as Dog of Honor? Bridesmaid?
