Proposal | Commons Park | Downtown Denver
Proposal on Highland Bridge Downtown DenverProposal Details:
Kody and Dakota were out in Colorado staying up in Erie with an Aunt. Considering it had been sunny most of the weekend and around 81 it was certainly an ideal weekend to be out. Despite the warm winter weather the skiing / boarding in Eldora was good. The time was also filled with things like horseback riding and of course – a proposal! They were going downtown on St. Patricks day to see the Denver Aquarium.
We like to help with proposal planning and tossed around a number of downtown ideas. We went with the hidden photographer style but since there wasn’t a lot of greenery in the winter we couldn’t wear green and remain less visible. We have used the Highland Bridge in the past but thought it might work well due to being in the same area, having a lot around it, and still being a unique place to propose.
They started at Ink Coffee downtown off of Little Raven St. From there they walked over through Commons Park to the Highland Bridge. We were on both ends of the bridge. Ironically, Dakota had been looking for a ring box on Kody but wasn’t spotting one. Some family members who didn’t know had been saying things like ‘enjoy your last day in Denver’ and the parent special ‘I love you’. Lets just say when you have been dating for over 4 years a woman will be a little perceptive. She was nonetheless surprised and looks to have said YES without any hesitation! Oh and just to document it – between the 2nd and 3rd image shown of the proposal I believe that is were Kody said “You would make me the happiest girl in the world”.
