Hair done, nails done, little black dress, guy gets down on one knee in this gorgeous Colorado mountain location like Brainard Lake.  What else do you need?  Well for Tyler and Alex it was photography.  This was to document the moment and its candid reaction.  To get that is our specialty.

We have sometimes heard from other photographers that they are not into proposals.  This is due to the stress it can cause for a photo.  In one sense we get it cause there are a ton of variables. One way around many of them is getting up close to a couple.  This means you get a photo before she starts to respond. Our take is this defeats the purpose or puts a lot of pressure on one shot.

For how we do things we are pulled back fairly far. We pick locations based on the topography based on our shooting style for the spot.  This allows us to get many photos of the moments you cannot do a redo on.  After how many proposals we have done we would say that most of the proposal pictures we have seen are taken from 10-15 feet away by a friend or reenacted after the fact.  We LOVE her reaction with the excitement and wipe of a happy tear.  After the shoot we took some engagement photos around the lake.
