Last Minute Proposal Photography in BreckenridgeProposal Details:

While we are not advocating for delaying adding a photographer to the last minute – it is possible.  We are not fully versed on all the circumstances that led to one reaching out 5 hours in advance and getting thing booked 3 hours before the shoot.  Often we have found it is due to being sneaky with finances or having someone bail on them.  Occasionally it is due to the guy getting good advice from one of her friends in the group that a photographer would be good to have get the moment.  Either way we have a lot of spots planned out and ready to go.  We are not wing it type of photographer but focused on getting authentic moments like these.  It takes a bit of planning but we can do things fairly last minute if we are available.

They were staying in Breckenridge nearby.  Before dinner they were walking the streets.  This was a scenic little spot along the way where he got down on a knee and proposed.  We have a couple of different spots we like that are natural to go.  They vary in terms of how many people could be around to how normal it is for people to be there.  One thing we love about the style and manner we employ to shoot them is that raw emotion reaction we get. While many go for ‘a photo’ or ‘a couple photos’ they really want more of a selection based on their preference.  Following the proposal plan allows us to get things like what you see on the blog.

Following the proposal we got a couple group shots with the friends.  We then focused on some couples photos in a mini engagement session style.  Functionally it was dusk as there was no direct sunlight in the valley.  The mountains had the sun hitting them.  With the Christmas lights in the trees it made for some fun lighting.  We find it helps form up the background.  Even if you cannot see the mountains due to something like active snowfall it still can look quite nice.  All in all we prefer sunny days like these to shoot in as we have more to work with but we can make this work in most weather conditions.
