Surprise Proposal on Aspen MountainProposal Details:

On a Saturday in June for a Proposal it is almost impossible to avoid weddings.  They were in Aspen and due to an awesome winter of snow there was still 5 feet of snow up on the mountain.  The plan was to do a grueling Ajax trail hike up Aspen Mountain but with the higher than normal amounts of snow still around the plan was canned and the story changed.  We found out later that the story was they were going to meet someone up there to do some snow shoeing.  This certainly helped keep it more natural for them but in the end produced a more athletic type clothing.

One perk likely was that they were not sweaty from the hike and actually made it up to the top.  While the spot we used was secluded if you were just trying to wing it up there it likely would not have worked out.  For example, there was a noon wedding there with 200+ guests.  While that limits were you can go it also can mess with getting up the Gondola even. As he proposed the musicians who were in the area had some fun with things and began to rehearse a love song for the wedding that was soon to come.  They celebrated over some champagne before going back down to the Little Nell Residences for a surprise engagement party.
