On the way up the Gondola at Keystone talking to a local who lived in Breckenridge the Alpenglow Stube is the kind of place they go on an anniversary or for a special event.  For Eric and Cara it was in celebration of the engagement that had not happened until just before the brunch.  They were staying in Breck and had taken an Uber over to Keystone for some high alpine – high end dinning.  It is two Gondola rides up so going up in street clothing is rather normal.  This is great cause it allows you to get the view you ideally want of the mountains with the good reason to have your hair and makeup done right.  Incase there is confusion and you are a guy reading this we are thinking more her than you on the hair and makeup.  So the original plan was to do it a day later but with some snow showers coming in we encouraged the moving it up a day.  Overall the amount of snow was forecasted as being minor.  The impact of shooting in snowy conditions is that you lose the mountain background (which is kinda the point) and you have snowflakes coming between the couple and the camera.  It was still a little cloudy from the front coming in but there was no snow.  From the initial reaction we have no indication that she saw this coming.  Maybe it was a little weird that he was moving the meal up by a day but outside of that it looks like the surprise proposal worked.  Our impression was that her take was to be prepared for something happening as it sounded like she had been doing her nails for when she goes on vacation for some time.  Perhaps this should be a subtle indicator to guys that if she gets her nails done before you go on a ski vacation she is likely ready for getting a ring on the hand?
