Ride a Bike in Sandals at NCAREngagement Session Details:

Of the many things we love in life two things we love are biking and wearing sandals.  Seeing John sport the sandals while riding the cruiser bike with Amanda on the front was subtle but awesome to see.  It was a little tricky to make things work for the bike while riding because of the dimensions of it.  The handle bars had a V to them making it hard to have Amanda up on them.  On the back she was a little lost in the background.  We are all for giving something a try and if it isn’t working amazing stuff to be real with it and try something different.

A little further down the trail we tried the something different which allowed for some people to pass through an jump in for a photo.  At the moment I am not sure if it is getting included since the couple jumping in the photo were complete strangers but it turned out great!  After returning the bike we rode a couple deer down to the next spot at NCAR.  Well – not really.  We just passed some deer but I think you could have likely gotten on one without much harm.

They seemed to be completely accustomed to engaged couples.  If we rode a deer that would be rather awesome but would likely have the same effect as the bike and it would likely lead to some type of inhumane citation, fine, jail time, and Pinterest craze.  Everyone would then want to come ride deer in their engagement.  As the deer were not coming up like the couple to jump in the photo we just left them alone and made it down the trail to the next spot overlooking the flatirons.

I know a lot of people love Chautauqua Park but I think the view at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) is so much better for photos.  The only thing we found interesting was the 1 hour general rule of sunset occurring before the official sunset was really more like 1.25 hour this time of year based on the ridge it fell behind.  Either way there was lots of laughter and playfulness shared.  When a couple can turn and look at each other and just start laughing you cannot go wrong.  Its not that there was anything funny about the other per say but just that look of ‘we don’t normally have our noses this close’.
