Downtown Denver Playful Engagement SessionEngagement Session Details:
60% chance of thunderstorms normally means calling off the engagement photo shoot unless you are the outdoorsy dance in the rain downtown kind of couple. We started with getting drinks downtown at the Wynkoop Brewery to help them relax for more natural photography. We then took a short walk over to the area we were shooting downtown. No rain just vibrant skies. John and Oanh had an energetic passion about them. There was such natural joy and energy. We like to position you in a way that allow you to be yourself and give guidance as needed.
Downtown is a great place to have a rustic looking shoot in the back alley ways. We started off of Wynkoop street and 15th Street downtown by the Cherry Creek trail. This allowed us to capture some of the distant storm. The vibrant rainbow was an added bonus. We loved the raw natural brick, green wall, and the rustic metal all by the Museum of Contemporary Art.
All natural sunset in downtown is hard not to get right with an awesome soft box to over power the sun. For this shoot we had a little more fun and put an accent kicker light behind John and Oanh. You can see in the image above how it added a natural accent to their emotion. It also brought out some of the distressed look of the metal. It gives a clean rustic downtown feel. If you like what you see here and are considering doing something similar here is our work involving the Bridge at Wynkoop Street and our other work Downtown Denver.
