Mount Vernon Canyon Club Wedding | Golden, CO
Love is in the Mountain AirWedding Details:
Okay – so maybe we put love there but it was still in the Colorado Mountain night air. For Andrew and Shannon love had been brewing since high school. 7 Years later what was described as the inevitable happened on the deck overlooking the mountains – they were married! The wedding day was overall rather chill as you couldn’t get in the venue till closer to 4PM.
The women had a room off to the side and the guys had a closet. While you might think we are being a little playful in our wording we are actually being literal – they had a closet. To have some fun with it we did try to fit them all in there and they fit! Getting ready in there however might be awkward being that close to guys with your pants off – we digress.
The ceremony out on the deck was simple and heart felt. From there we took them away with the bridal party for some sunset photos while the cocktail hour got started. Like in their engagement session there was this natural feeling and comfortableness in each others arms. Laughter was abundant and things were rather chill throughout the night.
Mount Vernon Canyon Club Review:
The venue staff are always on top of things and very enjoyable to work with on a wedding day. The setup was quick and there are little things like when the formal entrance came earlier than expected they adjusted to make things appear seamless on the food end of things. Perhaps we are also a little biased about this but as photographers we normally need to beg for flatware with a buffet style meal but they rather made sure we were taken care of proactively.
Mount Vernon Canyon Club’s staff go above and beyond and I think it is consistent. One different thing for this wedding than others was a dual wedding occurrence. While we like the downstairs room because of the deck the downside is if the timing isn’t lined up perfectly between the two weddings and your giving toasts while they reenact the NY show STOMP it can be a little annoying. While the building is well made we think they either were doing the STOMP thing, an Irish Dance, or were rioting. This was just a few minutes when things quieted down for us so realistically that is why things were noticed.
Overall, another great wedding with good flow that was really nice for the guests. Here is our work at Mount Vernon Canyon Club.
