Church Wedding + Mount Vernon Canyon Club ReceptionWedding Details:

One thing we know is that every church wedding is different depending on the style of the church.  For Kevin and Carrie we started off with Robin getting the girls getting ready photos at the church. Joe with the guys down the road a block at Table Mountain Inn.  Often we are in some rather tight spaces so it was rather refreshing to get some space.  From there we had a first look at Calvary Episcopal Church Golden.  Interesting enough the church has a wedding business branded as Elegant Weddings.

As there was construction nearby and a good view from the lawn we stuck by the church.  The guys were able to get their photos in first so they could go get a beer at a nearby bar.  The ceremony was rather simple with a few words shared, vows, and a pouring of a wine.

Mount Vernon Canyon Club Reception:

When it came to the reception it was over at the Mount Vernon Canyon Club. If you are thinking alternate branding might have been a theme of the wedding venue choices you might not be the only one wondering if that were a requirement. Either way this Mount Vernon location used to be call the Mount Vernon Country Club.  This is why the other weddings had the alternate naming.  This is not to be confused with the Mount Vernon Event Center which is another unassociated venue.

We were on the bottom level with the deck.  Often couples have done their ceremony out on the deck when they have done everything at the location.  As it was December before Christmas that would have been a little cold so we get why they opted for the church location.  The reception was overall fairly chill with laughter and dancing.  Music was played by a husband of someone so while there were no mess ups it was not someone reading the group to drive a party.  As the night wrapped up we did the formal exit out of the deck as there were more lights out there to frame up the space.
