Mount Falcon Park | Engagement | Sunrise
Sunset Sunrise Mountain Engagement SessionEngagement Details:
We will not deny that there are some rather awesome sunsets but what we find is the sunrise in Colorado is almost always better. For Chuck and Jamie it is what we had open on that day. We will not say they were excited to get up before daylight to get an engagement session but it is rare that you could find a couple who are both morning people. They nonetheless got the best lighting of the day as a storm was rolling in that evening.
We met up at Mount Falcon Park. It is just inside the mountain and has some rolling hills with some views of larger peaks in the distance. The sunrise was this gorgeous red sun shining through the trees. The air was brisk from the lack of much sunlight. The wind as it is most mornings was rather calm. Their dogs had sweaters on so they were pretty cozy wandering around. In terms of focus they certainly were motivated by treats which come standard stocked in our camera bag. They just wanted to get really close to you. Seeing that it was going to be hard to get the classic shot of the couple and their dogs we went for more of the unique playing with the wide angle in the morning light.
We have a special request for those who put on the Bonnaroo Music Festival. Can you make your baskets a little bigger? We tried to use the Bonnaroo blanket wrapped around them but despite their ultra cuddly ability we still could not get it to cover them fully. The backstory is that the proposal happened in a Bonnaroo Music Festival when one of the performers called it out from the stage highlighting the key moment.
