Spring Mountain Engagement Session in ColoradoEngagement Details:

We absolutely love it when we can get a sunny day in the mountains during the Spring.  From the perspective of living in Denver or along the front range you would think it is all the time but the reality is it is less common.  For Andrej and Meghan they were blessed with a sunny warm day.  We started up on Loveland Pass.  Up there it can certainly get a bit windy but it really was not too intense.  There was the normal audience of guys snowboarding down and catching a free ride back up.

Outside of that is was fairly empty up there.  As it was Spring there was still a lot of snow up there in any gully location were snow would blow or pile up therefore would be deeper.  This makes for a really wintery yet warm look as you have these gorgeous mountains right behind you yet you can pull off more engagement type clothing.  The sun was in and out up there.  Their dog was disinterested in getting photos.  Perhaps it was the 12k elevation getting to their dog but maybe it was just being a rescue they were more set in their ways.

Making our way down Loveland Pass and over to Sapphire Point we made a quick stop off the corner of the Dillon Reservoir.  The  ice had melted off of the lake and so it had that ideal mountain lake look.  This was one of those spots we tossed in as we thought it would look good for some photos while not causing a detour.  We took more photos in the initial outfit up at Sapphire Point before changing up the attire.

The sun started to go in and out a bit at this point which was less than ideal but we nonetheless had some fun with it and the playfulness they shared continued.  We love a couple that can just have fun with things and be themselves.  While the output of the work is certainly key to the quality of a service we also think enjoying the process is a big part of it you may not think about till you are in it.
