Kenosha Pass | Fall Engagement
Colorado Fall Colors Engagement SessionEngagement Details:
Fall colors in the Colorado mountains come and go quickly. Chris and Jenn should have used that excuse as the reason for speeding when they were pulled over on the way to the engagement session. The reason however was that they were running a little late for their engagement session. It must have worked as they got off with a piece of paper warning – no ticket or fees. The area I think it happened is where you come down Crow Hill (aka middle of no where Colorado) and can coast going 80 mph then take a right turn into a 40 mph zone. Realistically, with 8 police officers spotted between Denver and Kenosha Pass there was some kind of initiative happening.
Perhaps the increased presence is because of the high surge of people going out to see the colors. We love going to Kenosha Pass for getting the epic levels of fall color Aspen trees. There is ample parking and tons of places to shoot photos. Avoid this place on a weekend though as by sunrise parking will be all taken. During the week it is basically those who have retired and come out to take photos of yellow leaves.
We are hoping for more sunny days here but it seems the trend is to have a rather cloudy day in the peak of fall colors. This just means we shoot a little different and likely more like other photographers since there is no sun to use for a backlight. Their Huskie dogs were invited which was something we love! We are so glad the dogs could free up their schedule. As they pulled up it looks like Jenn was kicked to the backseat as one of their dogs was sitting in the passenger seat. Too bad their dogs cannot ride a chair lift otherwise they might enjoy the Breckenridge Ten Mile Station wedding.
If you are interested in other shoots we have done at Kenosha Pass you can check them out on our blog. Here is our shoots with dogs.
