Ironworks Wedding | Downtown Denver
Elegant Wedding Venue Downtown DenverWedding Details:
We started the wedding day off down in the Dairy Block area at the modern Maven hotel. For Jesse and Taylor it had been a few years since the planning at started. The day had finally arrived. Perhaps that was part of the driving factor to the little dance out of Taylor at Jesse signing the marriage license. Either way as you can likely see from this blog she just loves to dance.
Down in the Dairy block we took some photos. It is a unique space as it was ‘activated’ allowing for it being like a big patio for the businesses. Functionally someone put some money into it and seems to be trying to make some of that money back as anytime you are around there you will see some kind of event. This time there was a wedding and art show kicking off. There were maybe 40 people there for the first look and couples photos so that likely attracted a little extra attention. Normally there are two people.
From there we went over to Ironworks Denver. It is a cute little venue made for good parties. They did the ceremony up on the second floor in a back corner. Our take was that they could have used the larger space up top since they did not have it setup for anything else that night. For the reception they mimed the indoor seating and did a cocktail hour style dining where you sit wherever you want. We love the non traditional way of doing things. It certainly added to the mingling atmosphere. At the bar drinks were flowing and they had the staff to ensure there was no queue of people waiting. The dancing went on into the night and never really died down from the lively vigor at the start.
