Grand Hyatt Hotel Wedding | Denver
Urban Wedding with Downtown Denver Skyline ViewWedding Details:
There was a light dusting of snow on the ground for the December wedding in Denver. We met up with Maria and Anthony in their rooms at the Grant Hyatt Hotel. I think you could have fit about 6 of the guys room in Maria’s room. We went across the street to get some pictures. The light dusting of snow and ice made for a more adventurous trek in 4 inch heels. Their ceremony was on the 38th floor, cocktail hour in the 38th floor lobby, and reception on the southern side of the 38th floor. We had some fun and went to places like the Brown Palace Hotel for some fun night lighting. We also had some fun with family shots in the lobby of the venue side of the Grand Hyatt. There was lots of energy, joy, and consumption at the bar.
Grand Hyatt Hotel Wedding Review:
The Grand Hyatt Hotel is a great place for a larger gathering. I found the layout of the ceremony to be a little off as Anthony and Maria were off centered from the aisle. This was needed due to the narrow space and larger wedding party. For photography it normally looks best to have a clear line of sight to the bride and groom. Sometimes it was a little hard to get up to the 38th floor. If you are going to do this venue be sure to have a coordinator as people can be significantly spread out and harder to gather. Overall the space is open, well kept, and the tall ceilings make for a good ceremony and reception space. Downtown Denver there are a number of rustic buildings and spots nearby for photography. You likely won’t get the vibrant photos in this space like you would for a mountain wedding but nonetheless it is gorgeous spot we would recommend.
