Genesee Mountain Engagement | Golden
Late Fall Engagement SessionEngagement Details:
A fall engagement session with golden aspen trees can be hard to find after the colors peak. We were able to find some beautiful leaves but recommend you book an engagement session before the colors start to turn. Typically the last weekend in September and first in October are the peak of fall colors. It came early this year though. A good engagement timing tip is to not wait till things show up on the news. If you want a higher elevation engagement shoot we recommend you do it early to mid September.
We met up with Katie and Alec just off I-70 at exit 254 in the Buffalo Herd Overlook parking lot. From there we got some of the Aspen trees in bloom and drove up to the top. Continue till you reach gravel road and end in a circular lot. From the top you can get a 365 degree view from the various sides. There is some bare rock, pine trees, and distance snow capped mountains. Katie and Alec were natural likely because of the abundant love seen between them. They have been dating 5 years and will be married in 364 days from the time we did the shoot.
If you like this location here is our other work up on Genesee Mountain.
