Fossil Trace Golf Club Wedding | Golden
Make Your Dog Your Flower GirlWedding Details:
As cute as a flower girl is to photograph on you wedding day we believe your dog may make a good alternative. As wedding photographers we believe you bringing your dog is quite fitting for a colorado mountain engagement or colorado mountain wedding. For Ryan and Megan they invited Abigail to both their mountain engagement and wedding. They arrived in a limo from A Image Limo & Car Service and later that night left in the same limo. The Denver based limo service was great and the driver was highly personal which just makes your wedding day transportation around Denver more enjoyable.
The wedding ceremony was out on a overlook near the Fossil Trace club house. The sun was setting at about 10 o’clock from where everyone was facing. For photography this made for a nice rim lighting. Jill Parker was their wedding planner and day of wedding coordinator. She is full of positive energy and a joy to work with! She helped everything come together so smoothly.
Cocktail hour began before the wedding ceremony, paused for the wedding ceremony outdoors then resumed after the wedding concluded. As wedding photographers we love the open bar because it makes more a more likely and passionate evening. While we are not thinking anyone became intoxicated we certainly captured in our photography that people enjoyed and celebrated well throughout the night. If you do plan to have an open bar for 7 hours shuttles back to the hotels for the after the wedding party might be a good idea.
Fossil Trace Golf Club Venue Review:
Fossil Trace Golf Club is just outside Denver on the edge of the Colorado Mountains. For those who want an outdoorsy wedding with a beautiful backdrop of sun, clouds, and mountains while not having to drive far from downtown Denver then its a great choice. Fossil Trace is well run and kept in pristine order. There are spots that look like a golf course and many that capture that mountain beauty. The overlook for the ceremony location is beautiful for a wedding ceremony.
For pictures with the couple afterward there are many options. For us the Fossil Trace staff gave Ryan and Megan a golf cart and we were chauffeured by one from Fossil Trace who was passionate about photography. The only ‘downside’ for photography on the golf course is that you are working your photography around tee times. For us this meant waiting on the people in front of us and getting some vibrant mountain photos in a field off the trail as we waited.
The Reception was at Fossil Trace at the Three Tomatoes Steakhouse and the food was excellent. We recommend getting in the front of the wedding reception dinner line to get their prime rib – it is so good! The reception hall was certainly tight for the size of the wedding but we found that just made things more intimate and better for photojournalistic photography. Everyone was exactly as you would expect – excellent. We would certainly recommend the Fossil Trace Golf Club for your wedding ceremony and Three Tomatoes Steakhouse and Club for your wedding reception! If you are considering a golf course wedding here is our work at golf courses.
