Propose on a Colorado Mountain TrailEngagement Backstory:

The back story to Jason and Shannon meeting says a lot about how the engagement session went.  Jason on their first meeting started led with a kiss – a chocolate one.  What is good about this move is that it communicates desire and intent without being overly forward.  It is romantic and fun.  He later proposed in the Colorado mountains on the East Inlet trail just outside of Grand Lake Colorado.

Grand Lake Engagement Session Details:

We first went to the East Inlet Trailhead to start off the engagement session.  The fall mountain colors were beautiful.  I think our favorite part of this area was the large open field with the sun setting in the background across Grand Lake.  They are the outdoorsy mountain lover type that would count Grand Lake Colorado among one of their favorite places in the Colorado Mountains.  We made our way back toward the lake and were able to get some dusk photos out along the dock where you drop your boats into Grand Lake.  You can also check out their wedding photos out at Grand Lake in our AA Barn Grand Lake post.
