Downtown Denver Engagement | April
Denver Union Station Engagement SessionEngagement Session Details:
We started over at Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. This is a cocktail bar over northwest of Coors Field. It is a place with tons of apartments and therefore very limited street parking. If I recall it was a first date type location. The vision was more of a photojournalism style of capturing the space before getting over near Union Station. Often engagement sessions can be a bit stiff / posed in comparison to things like proposals or even weddings so more candid is always welcomed. For the couple an excuse to kick the shoot off with drinks also does not hurt. Many times guys are not as energetic about the idea of engagement photos as she is so this can help ease them into it.
Denver Union Station is one of those iconic places in Denver. It has certainly gotten even more popular since undergoing a renovation years back. Denver had gorgeous blue skies that day. It might be something of the dress style and the American flag blowing that makes it kind of a patriotic type look. After some photos out front we played in the fountains – okay well the one with the camera did. From there it was some more photos around the area.
When getting photos in the downtown area of Denver we expect people around. It is almost a little odd if there are empty streets. Perk of lens bokeh is that you can blur them out naturally. In other words it’s a hardware thing that a photographer pays a premium on.
If you like what you see here and are considering doing something similar here are some of the other shoots we have done downtown Denver.
