Dillon Reservoir Engagement
Dillon Reservoir Sunrise EngagementEngagement Session Details:
If we called this shoot Big Baldy Statue I am not sure anyone would ever find it. Tyler and Lauren were in Colorado from the Pittsburgh area. They had been in the Boulder area, gone through Estes Park, and had spent the night in the Silverthorne area. They were looking for a couple different locations for some variety sake. We met up at a small parking lot off the road in Dillon. The Marina can be seen in the background from the spot.
It was sunrise on a mixed cloud day which made for some really unique lighting that was constantly changing. We went down to the lake which was running really low on water. Essentially we were able to walk out a good 100 some feet into what would normally be under water. There was a bit of a breeze on the water which is likely predictable as people can use sailboats out there and in the winter use it for kiteboarding. While it was a bit brisk the water was certainly not frozen enough to snowboard on though that would be a really sweet engagement idea. Takers? From this spot we made it over to Sapphire Point.
As for them they were not likely dressed for 40’s as in many places it still feels like summer. This is more of a reason to get your cuddle on. It was clear that they were in the ‘pro cuddler’ class of skill as they knew how to fit together. Gorgeous photos, crazy awesome fun getting to light them up, and some coffee in the car. Sounds like the perfect start to a day.
