Della Terra Mountain Chateau | Estes Park, CO
Luxury Boutique Mountain Wedding VenueWedding Details:
Colorado Mountain weddings can having changing weather every 15 minutes. For Allen and Emily’s wedding this was surely the case which played in the favor of having the wedding play out as planned. The weather report was that it was going to be at best cloudy and overcast but more likely a 50/50 chance of rain. Rain did cut into some family photo time but outside of that wasn’t really much of an inconvenience. We even saw some sun which we personally love as it makes for this vibrant imagery that just has more pop to it.
When we got there the guys were down in the theater watching some sports and the women up in the Salon. The ceremony was outside and easily filled the stone bleachers. Allen’s father officiated the wedding. There was a bubble ceremony exit after signing the marriage license. Cocktail hour was on the patio where they had an open air style photo booth setup. There was an Owl theme in the reception with cake toppers and seating assignments. Live Owls perched on the tables as centerpieces – okay, well – not really. They were live flowers in Aspen tree wrapped vases.
Della Terra Mountain Chateau Review:
If Della Terra is available for your wedding date – congratulations! It is an awesome venue with gorgeous decor, amazing staff, and well likely everything you would want in a mountain wedding venue. From what we hear they have booked around 69% of the yearly calendar dates this year. Most of these dates we presume would be in the peak May-October wedding season. If your considering them for the next year you might need to go in looking at open dates and if you really want the key weekend Saturday date to book them a couple years out. W
hy do we say all of this? Demand is a great review of the quality. We see this quality consistently delivered. Tess is awesome and will be the non typical wedding venue coordinator and actually coordinate, pull little details together, and make your experience be top end. Since we last photographed a wedding there they extended their patio area, added a stone gazebo, and added some TVs that can be connected into for slideshows.
There were other things we noticed like a traction strip from the platform to the floor. These kind of details speak to how they have deeply refined weddings at Della Terra. That being said if you want to come up with some things outside the box and completely non-traditional they will find the change up refreshing I am sure. As for some other vendors at this wedding Jubilations Catering delivered delicious food, and Larry with Top Hat Entertainment was exceptional and very professional as a DJ / Master of Ceremonies (M.C.).
