Deer Creek Valley Ranch Wedding | Fall
Deer Creek Valley Ranch Mountain WeddingWedding Details:
How big of a bridal party can you fit on a firetruck? We guess it would depend on the firetruck but in this case for Jacob and Amy it was pretty much everyone. The day for us started off at the Barn for the getting into the wedding dress and 3 piece suit. We had a first look out by some pine trees before heading down the road near the gazebo and pond. Bridal party and some immediate family made their way down the road to get some uniquely inspired photography. It might be that most of the groomsmen grew up together playing baseball and that made for some more familiarity but the hands in each others pockets was certainly a first.
The ceremony was down the road and had some games for guests to play as they were shuttled over. The mountain view there was awesome as there was some above tree line elevation in the main peak. In October it was dusted with some snow. As the sunset during the ceremony things then turned cooler out. The reception back in the barn had some delicious Mexican dishes for dinner. As the night progressed the dancing certainly had energy. Some of the moves and the moments we got made for some priceless photos.
Deer Creek Valley Ranch Review:
The venue is nestled in the foothill mountains with some horses on the land. It was the first time we had been to a venue where we have a dedicated parking spot. The idea is that there is a lot of intentionality and forethought put into things at Deer Creek Valley Ranch. It was also the first venue that provided a walkie talkie for communication. As there is no cell coverage back by the ceremony site this helps to communicate particularly as the road is more narrow.
It is likely all perspective as to us it was rather wide but then again we are likely comparing it to some off roading trails in the mountains that are a 1.5 Jeeps wide. It sounded like there was an alternate venue space being built but for now the main getting ready / reception area is the barn.
The man cave was rather awesome and the perfect place to get ready and enjoy a beer. They were able to fit more people in the reception area than I would have thought upon walking in. There is also the upstairs area so there is a lot more room than you might think. For toasts we ended up going outside to the patio while a few tables were removed to open up the dance floor. While a bit chilly the fireplace did let out some good heat. Overall it was a great wedding day at a unique venue with awesome staff!
