Cielo at Castle Pines Wedding | Castle Rock
Ring Bearer or Was That Ring Bear?Wedding Day Details:
The wedding day ‘confusion’ if it was a Ring Bear or Bearer takes us back to our How I Met Your Mother days. In the case of Matt and Mary they had a very small, non dangerous, ring bear bearing the rings. Upon first seeing the dog in the bear suit I really thought it was a stuff animal. We definitely believe that your dog should be a part of your wedding day. In the case of Matt and Mary I think the dog bringing the rings speaks to how the day was planned. It was personal, fun, and focused in on what they valued.
We met up with them at the Denver South Marriott for some initial getting ready imagery. We were able to get in Cielo at Castle Pines by 3PM. While the women got ready the guys watched poker. They saw each other before the ceremony which awarded them a cocktail hour with their guests. There isn’t much with a mountain view around the venue but we did use a mountain looking space nearby.
There were some Jewish traditions in the wedding such as the Ketubah (although not read in Aramaic), Breaking of the Glass, and of course – the Hora! Overall the ceremony was rich and the reception was a good party. You know it will be full of dancing when the bridesmaids are shaking it in the hotel room. For a more playful way to do the garter toss Matt was blind folded and led to a line of 4 bridesmaids and one groomsmen. His goal was to determine which leg was Mary’s. He caught on after the first leg and definitely knew his bride did not have hairy legs.
Cielo at Castle Pines Review:
When your venue is located off a road called Happy Canyon how could you not feel good about your wedding? It is a excellent spot for events in the Denver area. The Pine Room has an elegant feel to it from the fireplace, spiral staircase, large windows, hardwood floors, large bar, waterfall, fire pit, and patio for the party. The space is structured in pricing to suit weddings up to 150 but could definitely fit many more people. The outdoor ceremony space works great for afternoon / evening ceremonies with a partially shaded ceremony site. The bride can get ready upstairs and the guys can use the basement.
