Breckenridge Nordic Center Wedding | Fall
Breckenridge Nordic Center September WeddingWedding Details:
Fall weddings are rather awesome in the Colorado Mountains. For Graham and Jen we it was one of those gorgeous fall days. We first went by the guys Townhome in Thunder Ridge just off highway 9. Women’s soccer was playing in the background and bottle of Whiskey (?) was about 3rd gone. Guys were doing some ironing of pocket squares and getting ready to go. After a brief time there we made our way over to the home where the women were getting ready. It bordered the venue and was a private home we shot at the week prior for the guys getting ready location. Over at the Breckenridge Nordic Center things were pretty much setup as guests started to arrive.
The ceremony was comically officiated by a friend. The 3rd person story of their lives leading to their relationship was a unique twist to a sharing things about them. The lead in for the different sections were TV and movie one liners. If anyone is struggling for ideas on how to make it unique feel free to steal the ideas. From there we got some more photos before doing what might have been a first for us – leaving the wedding venue during cocktail hour. While that is the norm for many photographers for us we believe in maximizing the time with your guests so if there is no first look we never go anywhere after the wedding.
Back at the venue the sun was setting as cocktail hour wrapped up. Inside dinner was a unique elegant mix of salad and beef or chicken sliders with a gourmet mac and cheese. The full bar was taken advantage of with a broad array of drinks served. Desert was cake pops that were delicious and rich. Little kiddos rocked out the dance floor most of the time we were there.
