Proposal | Bald Rock | Furman
Photoshoot Becomes a ProposalProposal Details:
When you date a photographer getting a photoshoot while dating is more predictable. The method of this proposal was a couples photoshoot which ended with a proposal. You can get proposal ideas from reading past blogs and read about how we do proposals on our engagement proposals page. We believe photographing your proposal is an excellent way to capture the memories, be able to tell the emotion of the story for years to come, have true engagement photos without having to wait.
The day started with a forecast for scattered thunderstorms and a lot of fun on campus at Furman University. We went to a number of places on site for pictures of them. One of our favorite from this time is Lauren leaning on Micah’s shoulder. Her blue eyes just seem to pop against his shirt. When finishing at Furman University we drove up to Bald Rock to allow Micah to propose on a rustic looking rock face with a cliff edge. The weather man got things right when he said it was going to rain – it was pouring! We are sitting there at Bald Rock and I am sure Lauren is thinking it odd that we drove up there and now we waiting for rain to pass.
We had a 15 minute window of no rain and proceeded to the rock face! Conveniently someone had spray painted a heart on the rock we were able to use. We began with some more pictures of both of them. At this point I had the ring in a box Micah had handmade. Robin distracted Lauren with some individual photos while Micah got the ring (in the box) from Joe. Micah put the box in his back pocket and we start posing them again.
We had a few lines prepared to confirm to Micah we were ready. We backed up and had said “say something into her ear” to get the shot of him proposing. He proceeded to say whisper in her ear which led to asking “the question”. We were able to capture her reaction to it all when she realized what was REALLY going on. She was getting engaged! What a great day it was of capturing these two in love. Congratulations to you both!
