Kenosha Pass Fall Proposal
Colorado Fall Leaves Sunrise ProposalEngagement Proposal Details:
The Colorado fall leaves are a popular attraction when it gets too cold to climb mountains and yet there isn’t enough snow to ski and snowboard. Andrew had the idea to go out and look at Fall Colors and propose along the way. We had come up with a spot that would work well and be less populated but changed it up for one with more colors and a little more romantic nature.
In order to use Kenosha Pass we had to make it a sunrise proposal. This is due to the variable traffic on the way out and limited parking. As trade off for less sleep you get better lighting. The downside is the cooler weather. It was 27 when I arrived, 38 when they arrived, and once the sun popped out around 20 degrees warmer in how it felt. We had a last minute tweak of spots due to some people camping over the weekend. Thankfully the placing a rock in the exact spot was picked up on by Andrew and Stephanie didn’t even think anything of it.
Stephanie never saw it coming. Her emotion and raw shock left her abundantly joyful and elated! As he got out the little yellow ring box with a G on it she had yes written all over her reaction. Andrew got down on one knee and officially asked her but we are thinking he basically got the yes before even asking! The sun started to peak over the ridge as the proposal wrapped up.
You could tell Stephanie was a little cold as she had her hands in Andrews front pockets as he started to propose! We love how they brought their golden retriever along. Comically a few times it looked like she was relieving herself in some of the photos. On the ring – when your dad makes jewelry you are in a good place for getting an awesome custom ring! The design was intricate and tasteful. We think we count 12 diamonds on the side building up to the main diamond.
