“Love is Like a Dog”Wedding Day Details:
Weddings and dogs are two of our favorite things. A mom reading poetry about ‘How falling in love is like owning a dog’ resonates with us. Gus and Julie showed love in a deeper form than we often get to witness. They have a beautiful relationship but at its core are two people full of joy who show selflessness and are made better by one another. The look they shared in the first look screamed I missed you as they melted from the sight of each other.
We then went down on some rocks so we could melt in the heat. The wedding was out on the back patio area, cocktail hour in a different part of the patio and dinner upstairs in the main room spilling out on the deck. The ceremony and toasts were full of laughter, tears, and depth. The reception dancing was quite lively. Normally you see a handful of people with moves out there on the dance floor whereas it felt like the floor was full of action.
Willow Ridge Manor Review:
Tucked away in the hillside of the Denver front range mountains is a wedding venue you wouldn’t have expected. The place has personality and charm. The space can accommodate larger sized weddings. It is an outdoor wedding ceremony location and indoor reception venue. With the weather being fairly predictable in Colorado we think this isn’t a problem. The ceremony site has an arbor and a brick pillar for placing the candles, sand, bottle of wine for a box – whatever your flavor.
The area is surrounded by rock and stone on a hillside. The building inside has a little bit more flowery of rooms upstairs for getting ready than is our taste. Overall it has a clean and classic look. Gregory owns the venue and you can tell her focuses on the small details. He has a defined way of executing the day. You will likely see his dogs at some point in checking out the venue. They are awesome, well behaved, and not a part of the wedding day.
Here is their Engagement Session at Mount Falcon Park. Here is our other work at Willow Ridge Manor. There is also a blog about their wedding on the Willow Ridge Manor Website Blog.
