Bring Your Beer and Dog TreatsEngagement Session Details:

When you bring a cooler and your golden retriever you are bound to have a fun and chill engagement session.  For Shaun and Sarah we knew they were going to have fun based on their wedding day plans for this September.  On top of that their motivation was to get to know how we work with our couples and us get to know their tastes.  Bringing Atlas along was a huge perk for us as he reminds us in so many ways of our puppy Bokeh.  Even though Atlas is 9 years old he still has a lot of spunk.  Once the new golden puppy comes along the amount of energy will be tested for sure!

We met up with them at Brainard Lake.  It is a great location for photography as it is at 10,000 ft elevation while being accessible by road.  The only downside we can find is that it seems to often have a breeze.  The view has a lake, pine trees, and exposed rock.  They were thinking of making a day of it but had a change of plans and got up a little earlier than planned.

Nonetheless, as we dread being late we still got there before them.  Beer and dog treats in hand we started in a field then moved down closer to the lake.  We will let you guess who had which.  Near the end, Atlas couldn’t resist getting in for a dip, but seemed to later regret that as he shivered in the car.  If you like what you see here and are considering using this location here are some of the other shoots we have done at Brainard Lake.
