Brookside Gardens Wedding | Berthoud
Ideal Venue for a Northern Colorado Front Range WeddingWedding Day Details:
We would have loved to see Micki ride into the ceremony site on a motorcycle. In her gorgeous dress it would have been a little challenging . . . impossible. The classical walking down the stairs through the arbor covered in vines was probably the romantic way to see Josh for the first time that day. Most guys don’t have the best facial expressions when they first see her. It is a mix of nervousness and trying to process everything. For Josh it was awesome because it wasn’t plain joy but this look of awe at his bride coming toward him.
There was a raw joy throughout the day. Maybe this was the beer the guys had or I believe the Starbucks we saw in the bridal suite. I think it ran deeper though. A good illustration is the tattoo on Micki’s back from Isaiah 43:2. It is about a people who ran everywhere they shouldn’t in life, were brought low, and yet received unmerited promises that God would be with them, that overwhelming things would not overtake, and the expected trials will not consume. The look in Micki’s eyes in the ceremony makes us think their joy is deeply rooted. It is a really awesome tattoo and it was a well inked up wedding!
There were a lot of little fun details like the S made from cardboard, sea shells for wedding gifts, and a jar with guest notes to drop in for reading on their 1 year anniversary. Dancing abounded which is rare for a Thursday night wedding.
Brookside Gardens Event Center Review:
Lush aspen trees, flowers a red barn, rock waterfall fountain, large reception space, and an intimate evening wedding feel. To compare places that are ‘Gardens’ a place like Botanic Gardens in Denver will win in size and variety of flowers. For weddings however a place like Brookside Gardens will look gorgeous, require less walking, be more intimate, still have all the beauty you would capture in photos of a ceremony.
In the fall the rows of aspen trees will be absolutely stunning with the turning yellow. The rooms for getting ready are ideal. The guys and girls rooms are connected by a center room, have good air conditioning, and the girls suite has large mirrors. The reception area has garage doors that surround the space and open up to a patio. When coupled with the string lighting it gives an ideal wedding reception look and flow.
Wedding coordination was by Elegant Events by Linda. Positive energy and adaptability are something you count ideal in a wedding planner yet things you might initially consider essential. Jay Kacik with Standing Room Only DJ kept the party going until closing time. What we notice about the best DJs are that they are personable, understand the audience and reception energy, are flexible, and aware of the surroundings.
