Sunrise Amphitheater | Boulder
Sunrise Sunset Colorado WeddingWedding Day Details:
How much coffee would it have taken for Kellen and Lacey to get married at sunrise? As awesome as it would have been due to the direction the outdoor amphitheater faced I am not sure all people on both sides of the family would want to be up that early. So don’t be throw off by the post being called the sunrise amphitheater – it was the name of the location not the time of day.
We met up at the Marriott in Boulder. It is fairly up to date with a fun looking lobby, spacious end suites for getting ready, and is close to a lot of Boulder Colorado life. Overall the day was kept simple and was spent with family. Family came in from the Cincinnati and Dallas areas. Decor was kept simple but beautiful or as we would like to think – God did a lot of the decoration. There was Starbucks (thank you!), 2 page letters exchanged, a classy ceremony with two musicians, and some pictures following the ceremony.
You will notice a lot of images of Kellen and Lacey below. That is one of the perks of a couple giving you the time, a beautiful place to shoot in, at the right time of day. Colorado is a great place to have a destination wedding. Another perk is that there are excellent honeymoon spots nearby like Vail, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, and Aspen!
Sunrise Amphitheater Review:
It is a beautiful Colorado Mountain venue location just outside of Boulder on the front range. It is part of the Flagstaff Mountain Summit Facilities that will accommodate 150 people in a theater in the round setting. The area was build in 1933 but is well kept and constructed from stone. It is reservable for 3 hour time slots and anywhere from $100 up to $400. At that price it is a affordable budget friendly beautiful colorado mountain venue. You can see availability online for the space. There is a natural beauty to the venue with the pine trees and beautiful sky. It faces the East so that it would be ideal for sunrise. Occasionally some people might strole up to the back and read a sign but overall it is a private location without distractions. Minimal decor is needed to make things beautiful. For a mountain location close to Denver it is an ideal wedding venue.
